High-Functioning on the Outside, Fried on the Inside? You’re Not Alone—And There’s a Workshop for That

Have you ever felt like you’re crushing it—checking off lists, showing up strong, handling everything thrown your way—while inside, there’s this constant buzz of tension? Like you’re always a little on edge, waiting for the next shoe to drop, even when things are objectively going well.

It’s a pattern I see (and hear about) so often. That quiet overwhelm that builds over time, the way high-achieving habits can sometimes keep the stress cycle going without us realizing. The nervous system stays revved up, and even the best-sounding advice can feel hard to actually use in real life.

That’s exactly why I’m excited to announce something new: my upcoming workshop, High-Functioning but Fried.

This is a live, psychoeducational workshop where we’ll explore these patterns—how anxiety and overwhelm show up and persist, what’s going on in the body when we feel constantly “on,” and realistic, evidence-informed ways to work with it all in everyday life.

In 90 minutes, you’ll gain:

  • Clear insight into why high-functioning patterns can unintentionally keep the cycle going.
  • Understanding of your nervous system and why downtime feels elusive.
  • A practical framework for applying therapy tools in ways that fit your real world—no quick fixes, just grounded shifts that add up.

It’s perfect if you’re ready for some clarity on feeling less fried behind the capable exterior. And since it’s live on Zoom, there will be dedicated time for your questions.

Details:

  • Date & Time: Wednesday, February 12, 2026, from 10:30am to 12:00pm PST
  • Format: Live via Zoom (accessible from anywhere—focused on education for California residents or those interested in these tools)
  • Led by: Me, Candice Beaton, with over 20 years working in the mental health field (10 of those years focused on anxiety and trauma).

Spots are limited for this single-session workshop, so if it feels like the right fit, I’d love to have you join.

Ready to get some practical insight and start shifting toward feeling steadier? Sign up here to reserve your spot.

Questions first? Feel free to book a quick intro call.

Looking forward to sharing these tools and answering your questions—because feeling as calm on the inside as you appear on the outside is absolutely possible.
